Ecoeggs frequently asked questions

What is the meaning of free range eggs?

In our opinion, the hens must not be stocked above a select density in an all weather home, have access to quality pastures for a minimum of 6 hours per day, and be housed on a farm that is subject to credible independent audits.

Are all eggs labelled free range actually free range?

Unfortunately, there is no uniform set of government regulations defining the correct use of the term free range in each state of Australia. You should contact individual producers or marketers and request their accreditation information and test them with a range of suitable questions.
